IMDEX Exploration Geologist of the Year 2018 Torrin Rowe

Torrin Rowe was nominated by Sam Ekins, Superintendent-Exploration, Evolution Mining.

Torrin Rowe commenced his geology career in 2015 as a database administrator with La Mancha Resources at the Mungari Gold Mine and is now a project geologist at the same site for Evolution Mining. In May 2017, Torrin persuaded the exploration manager to test a target he had been working on (in part from home) named Lady Agnes at the Grants Patch mining camp. The first two holes intercepted 4 m at 9.9 g/t Au from 138 m (EVRC0145) and 4 m at 60.2 g/t Au from 170 m (EVRC0168).

Based on the success of Lady Agnes, Torrin was able to test more targets nearby and intercepted 2 m at 8.7 g/t Au from 130 m (EVRC0248) in the maiden drill hole at Scottish Archer. The first follow up diamond hole into this structure returned 7 m at 6.9 g/t Au from 204 m (EVRC0383D) and 2.8m @ 4.06 g/t from 219.5 m. Scottish Archer is currently being assessed for a preliminary resource.

While testing Scottish Archer, Torrin worked up a target named Perimeter at the Ora Banda Camp associated with an old RAB anomaly and tested it based on a new structural concept with a single

diamond hole. This returned 47.6 m at 0.95 g/t Au including 3.6m @ 5.1 g/t Au and 1.9m @ 6.9 g/t Au (EVDD0011). Follow up drilling at Perimeter has delineated a continuously mineralized structure over 1,500 m in strike that has returned grades including 19.5 m at 4.82 g/t Au from 358 m (EVDD0035) and 12 m at 3.8 g/t Au from 159 m (EVRC0329).

Torrin recognized a pattern after the discovery of Perimeter and made a fourth discovery in August 2018 with the discovery of Frontier, 200 m to the northwest of Perimeter. All eight RC holes of the maiden drilling programme returned gold mineralization, including some with ore-grade intercepts. The results of this programme will be reported in the Evolution FY19 Q2 report. With four years of industry experience, including two as an exploration geologist, Torrin has made four gold discoveries in 15 months and continues to conceive, propose and test excellent targets. He has a natural talent for exploration with a high degree of geological insight coupled with a massive work ethic and a hunger to make discoveries. As such, he has been promoted to project geologist at Evolution Mining and nominated for the IMDEX Exploration Geologist of the Year, 2018.

We would like to congratulate all geologists who were nominated for the IMDEX Exploration Geologist of the Year Award for 2018.
